My Latest Quilt Finishes

I made this little quilt for a family friend's baby shower over the weekend.  I used the Warm Wishes free pattern available on the internet, and it took less than a week to make!  (I will definitely be using this pattern more often.)  It's a fun one to put together.  I backed it with flannel and stipple-quilted with my Viking sewing machine.  I'm pretty happy with it.  The expectant parents have chosen a Star Wars theme for the baby's room, and although it isn't Star Wars, I thought it would go OK.

My daughter (who's a very talented baker) made these cute teacup cupcakes for the shower.  Aren't they adorable?  She got the idea from Pinterest (we LoVe Pinterest).

The expectant parents with their quilt (I swear they were smiling before I took the photo).  : )

We were able to go to our cabin last weekend, so I talked my 12-year-old son into snapping this pic as we were packing up to leave.  I started this quilt for my husband about 3-4 years ago; I'm so glad it's done.  Sorry about the messy porch, our cabin is a work-in-progress (8 years to be exact).  Cabin building is kinda like quilting.  : )   I'll be sharing more pics of it in the future.
